As part of my commitment to public scholarship, I have delivered presentations to a variety of groups discussing my research. Here are a few highlights. I have additionally delivered academic presentations at local, regional and national conferences.

I delivered the Fall 2018 Fall Commencement address for the Hinds Community College district graduation on December 13th. See below for the video (talk intro starts at the 36 minute mark). [Photo by Tammi Bowles, HindsCC]
Jean Green and I delivered this talk on William Holtzclaw at Northeast Mississippi Community College to mark the opening of the Holtzclaw Traveling Exhibit on campus. My portion of the talk focused on African American autobiography and the signaling Holtzclaw used in his work to address different audiences simultaneously.
This public lecture was delivered as part of my selection as Humanities Instructor of the Year for Hinds Community College through the Mississippi Humanities Council.
This presentation was delivered at the 18th annual Mississippi College Graduate Research Symposium and received the 2nd place Foman and Nina Musselwhite Prize.
